We are constantly evolving at Green Glamping and we are about to be ready to share all the things we do on a daily basis to ensure that we as an accommodation take the best possible care of the surroundings that we love so much.
Many of the things we have done since we started Rønhave Bed & Breakfast in June 2011, we have never thought were a necessary part of our branding, but simply something that was common sense. However, we have learned in recent years that we may need to remember to inform a little more about what we think is important and why we want to be as sustainable as possible and improve ourselves more and more in that area.

During the renovation in 2011, we made a choice to preserve the fine farmhouse, both because of the story it can tell but also because we think it has its own charm. Of course, this also means that not all rooms are the same, that some walls should not be demolished, but preserved in terms of construction and expression. Some walls had settled a little more than others and we had to level the floor by up to 14 cm.

We couldn't bear to throw out the old doors from the 60s, but used them instead for all the bathrooms. All the beams that were still good were treated and preserved and only the places where it was necessary to replace were done. We are proud of the old lady from 1865, even though she creaks a little sometimes, but then we know that she is still alive. 😉

We only offer breakfast dishes, both because when we opened our doors in 2011, there were a number of unfortunate cases regarding buffer and hygiene. However, most of all because we love the peace it gives in our cozy breakfast room, that our lovely guests can sit quietly and talk together, without other guests having to wade back and forth to get refilled. By making dishes ready for each room, we can both meet any special wishes that may exist, such as allergies, religion or other beliefs. At the same time, we significantly reduced food waste, without compromising on freshness and, most of all, quality.
